Writer's Guidelines

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Currently, Double Critical is looking for experienced RPG module writers familiar with 5th Edition Dungeon and Dragons to develop adventures ranging from one-off side quests to detailed modules to expand upon the Oz setting, using our Core Rulebooks as a starting point, on a contract work-for-hire basis.

PAYMENT & RIGHTS

Double Critical follows the Science Fiction Writers Association (SFWA) short fiction guidelines, and pays 8 cents per word. The work done for us is work for hire, which means that all intellectual property rights will be assigned to us in exchange for the payment we provide for the work done by the writer. Details of this are included in our writer's contract. We pay work-for-hire contract work electronically via a Gusto account you set up for free and you control; payment for your work will be deposited directly into your bank account.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Double critical does not accept unsolicited completed submissions or manuscripts. We do, however, encourage letters of inquiry and idea pitches from prospective writers. We encourage prospective writers to join our Writers Discussion Page on Facebook.

SUBMISSION FORMAT

All submissions of approved writers under contract must be submitted electronically in one of the following formats:

• Google Docs (Our preferred format)

• Microsoft Word

• Generic Rich Text

Please format the pages of the document with the defaults as defined in the Oz Writer’s Bible provided to you after the work-for-hire contract is signed.
